Kat Brown is Senior Editor at Artnet News and co-host of The Art Angle podcast, where she frequently interviews artists, journalists, and authors. Since 2021, she has been a guest mentor for the Berlin Program for Artists. She ran the exhibition space Ashley from 2014 through 2024, curating exhibitions with emerging artists, including Alexander Iezzi, Matilda Tjäder, and Shaun Motsi, and held discursive events with artists including Judy Radul. She has moderated speaking events at Löwenbräu Kunst, ICA London, and HFBK University of Fine Arts Hamburg. Her writing has appeared in artist monographs by artists including Zuzanna Czebatul and Werner Büttner. Most recently, she taught a course on art criticism for the 2024 Summer University of the Arts in Berlin together with critic Mitch Speed, which included guest lectures from Jan Verwoert and Kristian Vistrup Madsen.
