Vistrup Madsen, Kristian
Born in Copenhagen in 1991, and trained at Goldsmiths College and Royal College of Art London, Kristian Vistrup Madsen has been working as an art critic out of Berlin since 2017. His writing on exhibitions, artists and wider cultural themes has been published in international publications such as Artforum, Frieze, ArtReview, Texte zur Kunst, Kunstkritikk, Spike, Mousse, Art Monthly, The White Review, Harpers and more. He has covered key art events such as the openings of new museums in Oslo, Antwerp and in Berlin the reopening of the Neue Nationalgalerie and the Humboldtforum, as well as major exhibitions such as Documenta, Steirischer Herbst and numerous biennials, among them Berlin, Lyon, Momentum and Manifesta. He has written exhibition texts and catalogue essays for several institutions across Europe, as well as for commercial galleries. His book Doing Time: Essays on Using People was published by Floating Opera Press in 2021.
